NASCAR showcases their "boys will be boys" approach

Well I'm sorry to report but Jimmie Johnson did not win this week at Atlanta to make it three in a row...

Kurt Busch was running out front with three laps to go when things really got interesting.
First, a frightening crash that seemed intentional between two feuding drivers.

Then, another spinning, slamming melee before the white flag came out.

"We've got to win this race three times, maybe even four times,'' a frustrated Busch said on his radio.

It is Johnson's first win of 2010 and 48th of his career. Johnson has now won at least one race a year for nine straight years, since his rookie season. Kevin Harvick finished second, followed by Jeff Burton, Mark Martin, Joey Logano, Kyle Busch, Ward Burton, Tony Stewart, and Greg Biffle.

NASCAR Gatorade Duel Races Rapid Recap

I called out of work in excitement of the beginning of the NASCAR season to watch two duel races to see who will qualify for the Daytona 500 and would win to start off the 2010 season. I have a deep love for this sport, as they bust everyone involved busts their tails and drivers risk their lives each and every week.

Kevin Harvick wins 2010 Budweiser Shootout

The first action in NASCAR took place this past Saturday at the Bud Shootout. I was amazed to see an action-packed race, especially when it didn't count for points. The winner of this raise would take home a $200,000 purse, so I guess that gives them more fuel to add to the fire!!!

Kevin Harvick overcame a bout with the flu and a wrecked race car to earn his second consecutive victory in the exhibition Budweiser Shootout on Saturday night.

Are you ready for some NASCAR?

Well, that time of the year has hit us once again. Can you hear the engines revving up and ready to go?

The official NASCAR 2010 season is set to begin in a week and I can honestly say I can not wait! I have been a diehard racing fan for many years, and for the last four years i have seen a driver who I can say is now one of our all time greats Jimmy Johnson just crush the competition being the first to win four straight titles in NASCAR history.
