PORTLAND, Ore. -- Portland Trail Blazers center Greg Oden was taken off the court on a stretcher after an apparent knee injury in the first quarter of the Trail Blazers' game against the Houston Rockets on Saturday night.

Hornets Fire Byron Scott

The New Orleans Hornets have fired head coach Byron Scott, after the team's disappointing 3-6 start. Despite that start, it is only nine games into an 82 game season.

No Timetable for Tracy McGrady's Return

According to ESPN.com and other news outlets, Houston Rockets guard Tracy McGrady is still out indefinitely, despite hoping to return November 18 versus the Minnesota Timberwolves. McGrady has been out since last season after having microfracture knee surgery.

Some players have come back to 100% or close (Amar'e Stoudemire) and others were never the same after that (Chris Webber). Whether T-Mac will be back to his old, high scoring self remains to be seen.

Iverson Gone Already?!

The Associated Press is reporting that Allen Iverson has been sent home by the Memphis Grizzlies. Iverson asked the team if he could leave, due to a personal matter that has yet to be revealed at this time. The Answer's relationship with his new team has been sour from the start, barely into the season.
