A look at Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2010

When I took a look at this year's Pro Football Hall of Fame Class, I was in awe at the greatness that will be on display in Canton in a few days. Forget about the fact that this year's game will see the T.O. and Ocho Show battle Owens' former team, Dallas. But don't forget that this year's class is a complete who's who of the NFL. In fact, the way the NFL is today is mainly because of these guys.

Kaye Cowher passes away

Kaye Cowher, the wife of former Pittsburgh Steelers coach Bill Cowher, died Friday after battling skin cancer.

Kaye met Bill Cowher at N.C. State in 1976, where he was a football player and she and her twin sister Faye played women's basketball. The couple married in 1981.

Kaye Cowher played a key role in her husband's decision to retire from coaching in 2007 and move full-time to Raleigh, so the family could be together as their daughters completed their high school and college basketball careers.

In the wake of the suspension of franchise quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, the Pittsburgh Steelers have brought back a familiar face.

The Steelers traded away their seventh-round draft pick to Tampa Bay to acquire Byron Leftwich, who served as Roethlisberger's backup during Pittsburgh's 2008 Super Bowl winning season.

Willie Parker signs with Redskins

According to the Washington Post and various media outlets, the Washington Redskins reached agreement with free agent running back Willie Parker on a one-year deal with a maximum value of $3.1 million.

Parker has been told there will be an open competition for the starting job. Parker ran for just 389 yards last season as the Steelers finally made it clear that Rashard Mendenhall was their primary back.
