(c) 2009 The Sports Courier

Ralph Nader is a former Presidential candidate and one of the most prominent politicians of his generation, but no one would know it. While he is cool, calm, collected, and always sharply dressed, Nader is essentially what all politicians are not—aware, concerned, and for the people.

The Dumbleavy Era is over....Sort of

Los Angeles Clippers head idiot coach Mike Dunleavy has decided to resign.

"I've come to the conclusion that this is the ideal time for me to direct my efforts toward the many personnel opportunities that lie before us, such as the trade market, the draft and the free-agent process. We fully expect to be active and productive on all those fronts."

The Clippers began play Thursday with the 12th-best record in the Western Conference, seven games out of a playoff spot at 21-28.

Smoke and Mirrors: The 10 Biggest Illusions in the NBA

by Hadarii Jones of BleacherReport.com

David Blaine and David Copperfield are magicians who made a fortune by mastering in the art of optical illusions, or deceiving an audience into believing that they see something that does not exist.

It's a clever ruse, but is simple in concept because the human brain processes information in a way that is pleasing to the individual.

In other words, we hear and see in a manner that is more favorable to our own point of view, we see what we want to see.

Ron Artest being Ron Artest

Don't worry, kids. There's enough Jack Daniels to go around...

Los Angeles Lakers forward Ron Artest is not new to controversy. He was the main catalyst of "The Malice at The Palace" five years ago between the Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, and the fans in attendance that awful night in Auburn.

Jennings' 55 Turns Warriors to Roadkill

AP

Milwaukee Bucks rookie guard Brandon Jennings scored 55 points in a come-from-behind 129-125 victory Saturday against the Golden State Warriors (3-6). Jennings not only had a career high, along with the victory, but something historic—a record.

His 55 points broke Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's franchise rookie record. Talk about filling some HUGE shoes! He was just two points shy of injured guard Michael Redd's total franchise record of 57.
