According to Christopher Daniels' official Twitter account, Austin Aries now holds the official record for the longest X-Division Championship reign in TNA Impact Wrestling history.

Well, by Thursday night, he should be. Daniels held the previous record with 185 days as champion from his reign back in 2005.

It should be noted that the X-Division was much deeper back then, with the likes of Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Chris Sabin, Petey Williams, Chris Sabin, among others. Although, that's not Aries' fault, as he's done a very good job with whomever and whatever he's had to work with.

Aries won the title on September 11, 2011, defeating Brian Kendrick at TNA's "No Surrender" pay-per-view.
