Bellator 70 main card, local New Orleans fighter Rich Clementi and Bellator CEO to attend press workout at Downtown Marriott at the Convention Center – Wed., May 23 from 2-4 p.m. CT

CHICAGO, Ill. (May 21, 2012) — In anticipation of Bellator 70 at The New Orleans Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, Bellator Fighting Championships will be hosting a fighter open workout for media from 2 – 4 p.m. CT on Wednesday, May 23 at The Downtown Marriott at the Convention Center in New Orleans.

The workout will be attended by Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney as well as Bellator 70 fighters, including Bellator Heavyweight World Champion Cole Konrad, his opponent and Season 5 Heavyweight Tournament Champion Eric Prindle, Bellator Season 6 Lightweight finalists Rick Hawn and Brent Weedman, plus New Orleans’ Bellator fighter Rich Clementi.

There will be a workout session followed by an interview/Q&A opportunity with each fighter. One-on-ones will be made available with each fighter and Bellator Chairman & CEO Bjorn Rebney.

More info on Bellator 70: The final chapter of Bellator Fighting Championships’ memorable sixth season, which is presented by Harrah’s New Orleans, will take place at the New Orleans Convention Center on May 25. Tickets for Bellator 70 are now on sale and can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com or by visiting New Orleans Convention Center Box Office. Tickets are priced from $30-$125. The event will also be broadcast LIVE starting at 7 p.m. CST on MTV2 and in commercial-free HD on EPIX. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. CST, with the first fight scheduled for 6 p.m. CST. The preliminary card, featuring the area’s top talent will be streamed LIVE and FREE on Spike.com starting at 6 p.m. CST. The official weigh-ins for Bellator 70 will be held at 5 p.m. ET on Thursday, May 24 at Masquerade inside Harrah’s Casino.
