Charges Against Kurt Angle Dropped

The Associated Press reports that a Pittsburgh judge has agreed to drop all charges of assault and harassment against former Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle, who currently wrestles professionally for Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling.

Angle was originally accused of attacking his ex-girlfriend, former TNA star Trenesha "Rhaka Khan" Biggers at his Pittsburgh home on Aug. 6. The former Olympian still maintains that he never hit Biggers. In addition to charges being dropped, the two agreed on Monday to have no contact whatsoever with each other. This is a huge victory for Angle and his employer, TNA, as it not only clears his name, but allows him to focus on what he does best—wrestling.

Prior to joining TNA in September 2006, where he has become a three-time World Champion, Angle wrestled for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), from 1998-2006. In WWE, Angle won the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships a total of six times.
