Harry Smith rips WWE for lack of consideration
British Bulldog's son feels disrespected.
David Hart Smith aka Harry Smith was released a couple of weeks ago from his WWE contract.
Rather than bitch and moan about not being used at all for two straight months, Smith took the highroad, while he mom berated WWE on the Internet. In fact, Smith even went on Facebook and told his fans he doesn't bury anyone and was quite complimentary of WWE.
That all changed the other day.
According to Smith's Facebook page, when he asked for his family's memorabilia back that was used at Axxess (fan interaction events before WrestleMania/SummerSlam), let's just say that's where things took a turn for worse.
Take it away, Harry:
"Well I’m not one to bury any companies or people but I’m afraid I have no choice here. The WWE after great difficulty of my begging, finally sent me back “some” but not all of my familie’s possessions from the WWE Hall of Fame/Fan axxess. This includes, my dad’s [British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith] ring gear, my ring gear, owen hart’s blue blazer masks, and singlet and lots of priceless family possessions. They sent a framed picture of my dad smashed, half the other stuff missing but they threw in a Mae Young framed picture. :)
Then they have the nerve to call me, two weeks after firing me, sniffing around asking if they can have it back for their precious Hall of Fame/fan axxess. Even though I am expendable talent, they wouldn’t mind just keeping my family’s last remaining wrestling stuff. Anyone can feel free to post this on dirt sites as I feel the world should know about how selfish and inconsiderate the WWE truly is."

While I don't think he should have gone off online like that, I can completely understand why he'd be frustrated and feel disrespected.
I do think Vince McMahon has more important things to worry about than that stuff, but as Jim Cornette once said "I never had a real problem with Vince. It's the fact he employs all those [expletive] minions under him."
I presume that's the case here. It sucks that Smith may never be brought back to WWE after this incident, but perhaps, someone high ranking backstage will recognize why this young, talented man that grew up in the wrestling business feels so disrespected. Maybe they'll try to rectify this situation. Maybe not.
But as Smith proved, you can jerk him around and he'll hold his head high. But when it involves his family, that gave their lives to WWE...
Well, I can't blame him for being angry.
