Welterweight bout: Tarec Saffiedine vs. Roger Bowling

Round One:

Jason Herzog is our referee. Bowling is a heavy hitter. Saffiedine trains under Dan Henderson at Team Quest. Left hook to the body by Bowling. Leg kick by Bowling. Saffiedine fires back with a combo and front kick. Hard combo by Bowling. Uppercut by Bowling. Leg kick by Saffiedine. Thai clinch by Saffiedine, but loses it. Right hand, left kick by Bowling. Thai clinch and knee to Bowling's body. Ouch. Two good body shots by Bowling. They clinch. Fighting for position against the fence. Saffiedine has the advantage, but Bowling reverses and tries to take him down. Can't get it. They break.

Thai clinch by Saffiedine, but loses it. Leg kick by Saffiedine. High kick by Bowling blocked. Thai clinch and knees by Saffiedine. Bowling rushes him against the fence and looks for the takedown. Can't get it. Saffiedine presses him against the cage. Left hand, right kick by Bowling blocked. Bowling trying again for the takedown and yet again, stuffed. He's learned from Hendo. Bowling expending a lot of energy and that's not good for a guy with cardio issues heading to the second round. Saffiedine has him clinched. They break. Leg kick by Saffiedine.

Round Two:

Both fighters slip a bit. Someone wipe down the cage floor with a dry towel please. Accidental eye poke by Saffiedine to Bowling. That sucks. Front kick by Saffiedine as action resumes. Three strike combo by Saffiedine. Saffiedine is the better technical and more accurate fighter. He presses Bowling up against the cage. They trade short knees to the body. Bowling escapes the clinch and briefly gets Saffiedine down. Bowling works for the choke, but Saffiedine quickly back up and presses him against the cage. Bowling tried to trip Saffiedine, but couldn't get him down. Uppercut from Saffiedine. Leg kick by Saffiedine. Combo by Saffiedine. Overhand right by Saffiedine misses. Leg kick by Bowling checked. Uppercut gazes Bowling.. We're going to Round Three.
