TNA World Heavyweight Championship:

Former X-Division Champion Austin Aries def. Bobby Roode (C) to become TNA World Heavyweight Champion.

Main event time. Crowd is loudly behind Aries. Excellent video package prior to this match. Well done, TNA production team. They do a hell of a job with their video packages, especially for main events. They lock up and break. Wristlock followed by a shoulder block by Roode. Drop toehold by Roode. Side roll for the near fall. JB puts over Roode as one of the best wrestlers who transitioned from the top tag team ranks. Everything Roode does is so smooth and calculated. 

Aries unleashes hell and takes Roode down, outwrestles him of the ground, and slaps his head a bunch of times. Side headlock by Aries reversed into a head scissors by Roode. Another head scissors by Roode. Headstand by Aries, into a drop kick to Roode's face. Take that, Dolph Ziggler. Flying double axe handle onto Roode on the outside. Back in the ring, Roode swats away Aries' missile drop kick attempt and gets the heat. Before that, crowd was chanting "NEXT WORLD CHAMP." 

The crowd also chants "Let's Go Aries - BOBBY SUCKS." Knee drop by Roode. Kickout by Aries. Chin lock by Roode. Roode attempts a knee drop from the top rope. Aries rolls out of the way. Aries mounts the comeback. Atomic drop. Drop kick to Roode's knee. Front face lock by Aries. Roode escapes. Roode kicks Aries and regains momentum. Aries halts the irish whip and knocks him onto apron. Drop kick by Aries to Roode's legs. Roode's face meets ring apron. Aries goes for the suicide dive, but Roode moves out of the way. Aries' lands face first into the steel guardrail. That looked like that sucked for Aries. 

Roode brings Aries back to the ring and holds him down via body triangle. Aries gets back to his feet, selling his ribs. Aries comes at Roode, but eats a knee to the midsection. Roode rams Aries to the corner and uses his side advantage. Crowd chants "S*** factor" at Roode, in reference to his "it factor" nickname. Roode says "You're not even in my league" to Aries. Aries elbows Roode in the head. Roode catches him in a fireman's carry into a slam. Roode has the waist lock on Aries and slams him down. He continues to hold onto the waist lock, as Aries tries to rally back. Aries elbows his way out and gets a rollup on Roode for the near fall. 

Clothesline by Roode sold well by Aries. Kick out. More dueling chants. Roode slaps Aries, while saying "you're nothing." Aries no sells Roode's strikes and fires back. They trade punches and chops. Discus forearm by Aries. Roode on the outside. This time, Aries successfully hits the suicide dive. Nice closeup of Aries' face that's now bloody on the nose. Missile drop kick back in the ring on Roode. Roode at the corner. Running drop kick by Aries caught by Roode and reversed into a slam.
