TNA Impact Wrestling on Spike TV

Impact Wrestling Zone in Orlando, FL - April 5, 2012

1. Hulk Hogan began his first official night as General Manager of TNA Impact Wrestling. He was welcomed by Dixie Carter and Sting and held a meeting with the talent at the ring. TNA World Champion Bobby Roode interrupted and Hogan put him in his place--and in a match against Mr. Ken Anderson. Hogan also took no B.S. (BROTHER!) from two-time WWE Hall of Famer "Nature Boy" Ric Flair. They actually acknowledged him later in the show as the "two-time Hall of Famer."

He booked Crimson vs. Matt Morgan at the LockDown pay-per-view.

2. Jeff Hardy def. Kurt Angle via intentional countout. Hogan confronted Angle backstage and booked him in a cage match against Hardy at LockDown. What about that bad hamstring and the Olympic trials, homie?

3. Joseph Park, Esq. was looking for Abyss. Poor Joseph could not find him. That caterer was so unhelpful.

4. TNA X-Division champion Austin Aries confronted Bully Ray, who ended up powerbombing him to hell. Both of these guys are awesome on the mic and I could definitely see a good to great LockDown match from them.

5. TNA Knockouts: Velvet Sky def. Mickie James, Angelina Love, Winter, Tara, and Madison Rayne in a Knockouts Challenge match to win a shot at champion Gail Kim. Think of it like a six-pack challenge where participants have to tag in and it's sudden death pinfall--not elimination. Sky faces Kim at LockDown.

In a backstage segment, Hogan told Sting to get healthy before he gets back in the ring.

6. James Storm def. AJ Styles. Good match from two long-time TNA veterans.

Roode spit water at Storm's country music friends Montgomery Gentry, who sing the awesome "Long Necks and Red Necks" theme song.

7. Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) def. Mexican American (Hernandez and Anarquia w/ Rosita and Sarita). Great to see Sabin back after a debilitating knee injury last year.

We got a great video package featuring James Storm, his beautiful wife and baby, along with his other family members. Morale of the story: Roode was Storm's best friend and broke his heart. Now he not only wants the World Title at LockDown, but revenge. Storm said he's gonna win for the city of Nashville. Watch this when it's on YouTube. Well done, TNA.

Eric Young and ODB are getting married next week.

8. Hogan booked Team Garett Bischoff vs. Team Eric Bischoff at LockDown. If Garett (Eric's son) and his team win, Eric can never use the Bischoff name again. Now if Eric wins, Garett will never wrestle again--for Impact Wrestling anyway. Participants outside of Bischoffs are to be determined.
