UFC 128: Gleison Tibau gets split decision over Kurt Pellegrino

Crowd is clearly in Pellegrino's corner. Both fighters exchange shots unsuccessfully. Pellegrino fails at his first takedown attempt. Tibau doesn't but Pellegrino gets back up quickly. Both fighters are tied up against the cage. Very close fight so far.

10-9 Tibau in first round.

Both fighters measuring their shots. Pellegrino seems to be coming forward a bit more. He fires some wild shots at Tibau and then successfully takes him down. The crowd is screaming "Let's go Kurt!" Tibau is trying to sweep by Pellegrino's wrestling and BJJ are excellent. He tries to pass but Tibau sweeps back to his feet. Both are hesistant to throw down, but this round is clearly Pellegrino's.

10-9 Pellegrino in round two. 

Pellegrino ets Tibau with a leg kick. Kurt keeps coming forward. Tibau keeps swinging but isn't landing. Tibau is stuffed in his takedown attempt. He tries again but Kurt quickly gets up. Pellegrino pushing Tibau against the cage, working for the takedown. Tibau pushes Pellegrino off. Both fighters exchange shots. Tibau goes and gets the takedown. This is anyone's fight here. Tibau's trying to get Kurt's back. Pellegrino reverses into an attempted leg lock but the round is over.

Official decision: Gleison Tibau by split decision (29-28 Tibau, 29-28 Pellegrino, 29-28 Tibau).
