Featherweight bout: Mike Brown vs. Daniel Pineda
Round One:
Brown is 36 and the former WEC featherweight champion, best known for defeating Urijah Faber twice. He's currently on the fence about retiring and a loss tonight will further raise speculation. Pineda is 2-0 in the UFC since debuting in January and has won seven straight fights. He's only 26, so there's a lot of upside with him--should he show improvement here.
Pineda hit a high kick and slipped. High kick by Brown. They trade shots. Pineda staggers Brown. Brown bullrushes him and takes him down. Open half guard. Stepped over and now Brown attempts mounted crucifix. Pineda pops up on top of Brown. Brown trying to sweep him with butterfly guard. Pineda loses position. Brown gets up and tries a single leg. Pineda gets up. They clinch and break. Leg kick by Pineda. Front kick by Pineda. Pineda looked for the takedown and Brown gets on top of him. Great strength shown by Brown. Half guard.
Brown trying get some ground and pound going as the round ends.

Round Two:
They come out swinging with hard shots. Takedown by Pineda, but he nearly gets caught in a guillotine. Pineda gets out of it and gets on top. Big slam by Brown who gets on top. Reversal. North-South position for Brown. Great show of strength from Pineda who gets on top and could have worked for a guillotine or anaconda choke. They press each other against the cage. Brown tags Pineda, who is able to weather the storm. Overhand right by Brown. He slips and Pineda goes at him, but gets caught in a guillotine. Brown changes position and gets on top. Open guard.
Closed guard. Brown hitting Pineda with short punches and hammerfirsts. Now elbows by Brown. Pineda answers with an elbow off his back. Big punches from Brown at the top. The elbow from Pineda off his back looked like it really cut Brown. Really good fight.

Round Three:
Pineda hits a head kick. Big knee to the body by Brown. Pineda goes down. Brown gets on top and continues to work the body. Pineda trying to tie Brown up and get a breather. Half guard. Holy crap. Pineda sweeps to Brown's back and has the body triangle. Brown is in danger of being rear naked choked. Pineda is bleeding as well. Pineda hitting Brown with some shots as the round ends. Great opener.

Official Decision: Mike Brown (26-8) def. Daniel Pineda (17-8) via unanimous decision (29-28 across the board). Big win for Brown.
Light Heavyweight bout: Kyle Kingsbury vs. Glover Teixeira
Round One:
Teixeira is coming out swinging at Kingsbury, who is dressed like a porn star. Kingsbury is down. Teixeira takes Kingsbury's back. Now into full mount. Teixeira is kicking Kingsbury's ass. Now he could give up his back. Oh boy. Back to full mount for Teixeira. Arm triangle choke by Teixeira. Not a scratch on Teixeira's face. Teixeira shows class and checks on Kingsbury. HELL OF A DEBUT for UFC's newest light heavyweight.
Official Decision: Glover Teixeira (18-2) def. Kyle Kingsbury (11-4, 1 NC) via arm triangle choke submission at 1:53 of Round One.
Lightweight bout: Jacob Volkmann vs. Paul Sass
