Light heavyweight bout: Ryan Bader (14-2) vs. Lyoto Machida (17-3)

Bader has won two straight fights, most recently defeating Rampage Jackson via unanimous decision. Machida is coming off of a lost that saw him choked out in the second round by light heavyweight champion Jon Jones. 

Round One:

Machida gets a big star reaction as the former champ. Big John McCarthy is our referee. Machida weighed in light at 201lbs and could be looking at a middleweight run down the road. 

Body kick grazes Bader. Bader leg kick grazes Machida. Bader gets inside and hits Machida with a body shot. Leg kick on Machida. Crowd chants MACHIDA. Leg kick by Bader again, but it doesn't look like there's much power there. Body kick by Machida. That had power. Knee to the body of Bader. Bader rushes at Machida, but Machida circles away. Front kick by Machida. Bader misses the elbow. Another front kick by Machida. Right jab by Machida. Leg kick by Machida. Big swing and miss by Bader. He gets tagged. 

Bsder eats an elbow as he comes in and tries to get the clinch and takedown. Can't get it. Body kick by Machida. Combo my Machida. Machida is fighting his fight. 

10-9 Machida 

Round Two:

Leg kick by Machida. MACHIDA chants. Body kick grazes Machida. Bader hits him and they tie up and break. Front kick barely hits Bader. Crowd starts booing. Literally a couple seconds later Bader gets impatient and runs full force into a Machida knockout punch. Bader is out cold as he eats a couple extra shots before Big John mercifully stops the fight. Talk about winning most impressively for a title shot. The pressure is on you, Shogun and Vera..

Official Decision: Lyoto Machida (18-3) def. Ryan Bader (14-3) via knockout (punch) at 1:32 of Round Two.

Machida tells Rogan and the crowd "THE DRAGON IS BACK!"
