Bantamweight bout: Francisco Rivera (8-2) def. Alex Soto (6-2-1) via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
Bantamweight bout: Johnny Eduardo (26-9) def. Jeff Curran (33-15-1) via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28). Before the fight, Curran said he'd contemplate dropping to flyweight. Perhaps, that's next for him.
Lightweight bout: Rafael Dos Anjos (16-6) def. Kamal Shalorus (7-3) via submission (rear-naked choke) at 1:40 of Round One.
Lightweight bout: TJ Grant (18-5) def. Carlo Prater (30-11-1) via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27). Grant dominated Prater, a ground specialist in grappling. Post-fight, Grant said he should be on the main card.
Lightweight bout: Cody McKenzie (13-2) def. Marcus LeVesseur (21-6) via submission (guillotine choke) at 3:05 of Round One. Mckenzie wins via guillotine choke for the 5,000th time.
Middleweight bout: Brad Tavares (8-1) def. Dongi Yang (10-3) via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
Main Card on FUEL TV
Middleweight bout: Tom Lawlor (8-4, 1 NC) def. Jason MacDonald (25-16) via knockout (punches) at 0:50 of Round One.
Lawlor wins in impressive fashion on his birthday. MacDonald totally faceplanted in what's probably his retirement fight. Lawlor thanked all the fans and said Virginia is one of the 50 best states to fight in. LOL.
Light heavyweight bout: Igor Pokrajac (25-8) def. Fabio Maldonado (18-5) via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 29-28).
Awesome, physical fight.
Bantamweight bout: Yves Jabouin (18-7) def. Jeff Hougland (10-5) via unanimous decision via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-26, 30-27).
This fight should have been stopped like two or three times. Jabouin hit him with liver shots, elbows and punches to the head, etc. Yet the referee never stopped the fight in any round. Houghland hung on but took way too many head shots. The ref sucked and obviously, so did the judges, as only one gave Jabouin a 10-8.
Lightweight bout: Donald Cerrone (18-4, 1 NC) def. Jeremy Stephens (20-8) via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).
Domination by Cerrone. Not the Fight of The Night everyone expected but a great performance for the Cowboy. Post-fight, he called out Nate Diaz, who broke him mentally via unanimous decision back in December.
Welterweight bout: Amir Sadollah (6-3) def. Jorge Lopez (11-3) via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28).
OK fight that had no business being a co-main event. Sadollah nearly finished Lopez twice with standing guillotines.
Featherweight bout: Chan Sung Jung (13-3) def. Dustin Poirier (12-2) via submission (D'arce choke) at 1:07 of Round Four.
