UFC Octagon Girl apologizes for past adult entertainment career
Opening up about past.
Chandella Powell, who is still with the UFC as of press time, recently apologized via her official Twitter account for mistakes she made a decade ago.
Photos and videos recently surfaced of her participating in pornography under the name Mariah Ashton, although accounts of the story vary. Many say it was softcore porn (I am not investigating this), which would mean simulated sex. To us, that doesn't sound like a fireable offense, but it's believed she's in trouble more so for not disclosing her past to the UFC, rather than her past actions.
Powell didn't appear on the UFC on Fuel TV show, leading to the rampant rumors of her dismissal--ironically on the heels on UFC's Brittney Palmer's Playboy shoot hitting stores and the Internet (Octagon girl Arianny Celeste also recently posed for Playboy).
However, Powell apparently will be traveling with the UFC to Japan for February 25th's UFC 144, so it seems like her job at Zuffa is safe.
Via Powell's Twitter:
When you are young, you often don't realize that your actions have consequences. I made a bad decision about ten years ago, but you learn from these moments. There is nothing I can do to change the past, and believe me, if I could, I would. That decision doesn't represent who I am today. All I can do now is put the past behind me and move forward. I am sorry to disappoint any of my fans and my family at Zuffa. I love you guys :)
