WWE Extreme Rules Predictions

by Jim Jorgensen

Falls Count Anywhere Match: Randy Orton vs. Kane

With one of the most horrendous feuds in recent memory. Kane vs Orton III. Kane with a SMDH victory over Randall at 'Mania and Orton with a win over Kane on SD a few weeks back puts the series ties at 1-1. I'd bet my bottom dollar that Randy gets the W. There's no logical reason to give Kane (on what seems to be his last run of his career) a win over one of the top babyfaces of the company. Especially with a rumored SummerSlam blockbuster match with Brock Lesnar.

Winner via six consecutive punts and three-and-half RKOs on the hood of Del Rios $650,000 Ferrari F12: Randy Orton

????? Match for the Intercontinental Championship: The Big Show (c) vs. Cody Rhodes
With the stipulation being revealed on the night of the PPV. Since Cody has made a habit of running like a scolded dog from the Big Show, the only match I could see fit would be a steel cage match. Cody was champion for quite some time so I don’t see him winning this Sunday night.

Winner via shooting star press off top of the cage and still Intercontinental Champion: Big Show.

Two out of Three Falls Match for World Heavyweight Championship: Sheamus (c) vs. Daniel Bryan
Now I'm willing to bet my life that this match lasts longer than the 18 second slobberknocker at 'Mania. I see this as a possible match of the night candidate. The match that should of happened at WrestleMania. Obviously Sheamus and Bryan getting 1 fall each. I could see Bryan pulling out every move in the book and eventually gets fed up, trys using a typical underhanded heel tactic, giving Sheamus a moment to recover and WHAM! Brogue kicks Bryan into oblivion. Winner: Sheamus.

CM Punk vs Chris Jericho: Chicago Street Fight
This is a tough one to predict. With Punk having a decisive win over Jericho at WrestleMania, part of me thinks Jericho will be taking the strap especially with the heated “alcoholism” angle possibly getting into punks head but at the same time I dont see Punk losing in his hometown and I also see this as a chance to revitalize Punks character as I feel its gotten a bit stale as of late.

Winner: CM Punk

John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar, Extreme Rules Match
I'll say right now that Cena is not winning this match. 0% chance. And I actually see Brock putting Cena on the shelf for a while and set up a possibly heel turn for Cena. I feel that WWE is building Brock up to be the unstoppable juggernaut heel that will be on the war path over the next few months and will lead to the eventual “Big money” match next year at WrestleMania XXIX.

Winner: Brock Lesnar
