WWE headliner injured before PPV (SPOILER)
Main eventer's status for Capitol Punishment pay-per-view could be in jeopardy.
Via F4WOnline.com:
WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton legitimately suffered a concussion on Sunday in Madrid, Spain, so the concussion story on television this week was not a storyline.
On television, WWE was still pushing that he would be wrestling on Sunday. With the old business, it would have almost been a given. Now, wrestling seven days after a concussion is a lot more questionable.
What is mind-boggling after reading this is how WWE did not add Sheamus to the World Title match with Christian and Orton this Sunday. A triple threat match would have no doubt masked Orton's medical limitations and given WWE a reason to have him not do much in the match.
Hell, WWE could have done an angle where Sheamus "assaulted" Orton before the match, only for the champ to punt Christian/Sheamus out of no where to retain the title. Or WWE could have added Sheamus, had him "steal the title" from Orton, and further progress the "Christian is always screwed" storyline.
Considering how much WWE has neutered the midcarders' heat, there's not many legitimate challengers for the World Title after Christian and Sheamus, FELLA.
