1. People Power Battle Royal: Winner can challenge Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes or United States Champion Santino Marella

And we kick things off right away with a battle royal. This was added right before the PPV. We have such greats here like Titus O'Neil, Darren Young, David Otunga, Drew McIntyre, and Great Khali. Christian finally returns and is in this match, as is The Miz and the semi-retired NXT color commentator William Regal--who is wearing an awkward singlet. McIntyre's eliminated. A few other dudes are eliminated. An Uso eliminates O'Neil. It's hard to keep up when half the guys are barely on TV. Holy crap, Alex Riley is in this match. Riley's glory is short lived, as he's eliminated by Miz. Marella and Rhodes are at ringside.

Poor Regal gets eliminated by Christian. The crowd boos. Young eliminates an Uso. Riley eliminates Young. That's his first sort of victory since last year. I think. Poor Tyson Kidd had some momentum and crowd got behind him, but he was eliminated. So now we're down to three. Otunga and Miz gang up on Christian. Christian's back as a face? Hell, makes no sense but I like it, considering the crowd likes him, he's a great wrestler, and WWE is thin on good babyfaces that can work. Too bad he had way more momentum last year when he won the title, only to lose it to Randy Orton in two days.

Cole is burying Booker T here. And it sucks. Old Douchebag Cole is back. Damnit. Christian eliminates Otunga. Crowd is hot for Christian. Miz going for Skull Crushing Finale. Christian went for Killswitch. Christian barely hangs on and wins. Crowd pops big.

Winner and new no. one contender for U.S. Title: Christian.

I really hope Christian wins because Marella is great as a comedy act, but not as a serious title holder. I'm kind of surprised with that move, considering Christian was positioned here as a face and him vs. Rhodes would be an awesome match if given time.

Now we officially begin this PPV with music, pyro, and everything. Good stuff.

2. WWE Tag Team Championship: Kofi Kingston and R-Truth (C) vs. Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler (w/ Vickie Guerrero)

Guerrero comes out to introduce her men. Cole says she looks great. I concur. That dress is cougariffic <3.

This match is good and the crowd's hot, but the commentary is unbearable. Lawler keeps pointing out Guerrero's naval and how nasty she looks, when she looks worlds better than most women here age. And WWE is sponsored by an anti-bullying group. Really? They're arguing more about Guerrero's looks than putting over this match. Cole says Swagger has a bad judging of character and is glad he divorced him. His words, not mine. And to think, Regal and Jim Ross, the best announcers in the company, only work on NXT which is seen by approximately five people. WTF is wrong with this wrestling world?
