Announcers hype The Rock and John Cena's last faceoff before their WrestleMania XXVIII match.

Trivia: 11 years ago, the final WCW Monday Nitro was held in Panama City, FL. You know, the one where Shane McMahon "bought" WCW. I feel old. And sad. On with the show! 

1.  Kane and World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan (w/ AJ Lee) def. Randy Orton and Sheamus. Bryan pinned Sheamus after AJ distracted him and Kane followed up with a chokeslam. Booker T acted surprised. Not a bad opener. A nice deviation from the long, winding promo intro to RAW.

Highlights of Rock costing Cena the WWE Championship last year at WrestleMania. Who won the match? Miz. What a difference a year makes. 

Michael Cole named himself the special commentator for Team Johnny at WrestleMania XXVIII. John Laurinaitis named Vickie Guerrero the official flag bearer LOL. They introduced David Otunga. He does some Superstar Billy Graham style poses that haven't raised red flags in Wellness. 

Booker T stuttered 500 times before getting on the mic and introduced Smackdown GM Teddy Long. Hornswoggle is the official Team Teddy flagbearer. U.S. Champion Santino Marella is introduced.

2. Santino Marella def. David Otunga. with the Cobra after Hornswoggle distracted him. Laurinaitis gets embarrassed by Teddy and Santino. Miz attacks Santino from behind and Laurinaitis names him the newest team member. Miz is going to WrestleMania after all. Poor Alberto Del Rio. Either he's not healthy or WWE doesn't want to book him until after WrestleMania. Either way, that's gonna hurt his wallet. The mystery last member of Team Teddy has yet to be named. 

The announcers hype WWE Champion CM Punk vs. Christian for later tonight. If they give it time, that should be a damn good match. They also hyped a special look at the Hell in a Cell match Triple H vs. Undertaker with Shawn Michaels as the special referee.

We get an incredible video package chronicling the illustrious WWE careers of Triple H and The Undertaker, as well as Shawn Michaels' involvement with the upcoming Hell in a Cell match.  We also got some quick clips of cool Hell in a Cell moments involving HHH and Undertaker. That gave me goosebumps. 

Now if they only promoted their B-pay-per-view main events like that....
