April 2, 2012 - Night after WrestleMania XXVIII
We begin with John Laurinaitis talking to all the superstars backstage and revealing that he is the new RAW general manager and Smackdown GM as well. What about NXT and Superstars? All the superstars are sitting backstage like geeks. He books a U.S. Title match between champion Santino Marella and challengers Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger. WWE Champion CM Punk interrupts Laurinaitis. Laurinaitis gets pissed when Punk calls him an idiot or something. He books Mark Henry vs. CM Punk for the WWE Championship later tonight. He says it's PEOPLE POWER. Huh?
1. We kick things off with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who gets a HUGE ovation. Now THIS is a much warmer ovation than last week's in Atlanta. Big BOOTS 2 ASSES chant. The arena looks pretty packed. ROCKY chants. Rock gestures that he doesn't have notes. Rock says 14 years ago and is interrupted by a huge YOU STILL GOT IT chant. Very cool and respectful moment. Rock thanks the fans. Fourteen months ago, Rock came back to WWE and did it all--Rock Concerts, birthday parties, electrified arenas across America. Rock says it wasn't until last night, when he beat John Cena at WrestleMania XXVIII in front of the record-breaking crowd at Sun Life Stadium.
FINALLY, THE ROCK HAS COME BACK--HOME. Rock says he has goosebumps all over his body. Rock thanks John Cena and crowd boos. His fan base ain't happy with that one. loud CENA SUCKS chants erupt. Last night at WrestleMania, Cena brought it to Rock like never before. Like never before, he says. At the end of the day, Rock said it was an honor to wrestle Cena in biggest match of all -time. (This gets respectful applause). Rock said at the end of the day, him and Cena made history. Rock says thanks to Cena, his friends, family, and the people. He thanks the millions--AND MILLIONS--of The Rock's fans.
THANK YOU, ROCKY chants now. This crowd is awesome. Well, it is his hometown...
Rock says he was cut from the Canadian Football League in 1995. He says...Do you know how much you must suck to get cut from CFL? He says he's happy all these years later to be your People's Champion. More ROCKY chants. Rock says for those of you that think this is the end...he guarandamntees this is just the beginning. Crowd is chanting YES! YES! YES! Go DANIEL BRYAN! Rock says he has this vision that he got as he was celebrating even when he was doing Salsa. He thanks the fans for whistling at his dance moves. "And that was a dude too. Oh John Cena fan..." LOL.
Rock had this vision and his friends say that's impossible. Rock wipes a monkey's ass with impossible. Rock asks if they want to here his vision. They scream YES! Rock says one day he'll walk down that aisle one more time and be.....WWE CHAMPION. No offense to CM Punk, but if there's one man that can put prestige back to that belt....
