In the opening segment, general manager John Laurinaitis introduced Brock Lesnar.
WWE COO Triple H came out and pretty much said the deal Lesnar got last week was irrelevant and that no one was bigger than WWE. Lesnar attacked Triple H. They brawl, but Lesar puts him in a kimura arm submission. Sheamus, Kofi Kingston, and Big Show help HHH to the back.
They show HHH in the back with the doctors. He says he may have pulled the elbow out of its socket. Strong mic work from HHH. Lesnar looked like a killer, but it's still stunning he lost to John Cena last night at Extreme Rules.
Eve Torres comes out looking like a sexy secretary. She delivers a botched promo stating that #1 contender will be decided in a Beat the Clock challenge. The winner gets a WWE Championship shot against CM Punk, presumably at Over The Limit in three weeks. First match up is MIz vs Santino for whatever reason.
1. The Miz def. U.S. Champion Santino Marella in a non-title Beat The Clock match at 4:18.
Fast paced match up, Miz uses Matt Hardy's side effect ( here comes the ramblings). Santino's come a long way in terms of of the evolution of his character. He's getting a lot of offense here. Sets up for the Cobra that put MIz away on the pre-show, reverses, and hits the Skull Crushing Finale for the win at 4:18.
Recap of last nights Divas match. Here is the deal. I am in love with Nikki Bella, but I also love my little English muffin Layla. So if the Bellas are really leaving, Layla's return is in good timing.
2. Triple Threat Match: Layla def. The Bellas to retain the WWE Divas Championship.
Layla dropkicks and rolls up one of the Bellas, and just like that it is all over lol wut...R.I.P Bella's WWE stint.
Call me, Nikki!
Chris Jericho comes out. He is in the beat the clock challenge. Cut to break. And we're back.. His opponent is former Jeri-Show partner the Big Show.
3. Beat The Clock: Chris Jericho def. Big Show via countout at 4:17.
Big Show starts of strong with shots and body slams of sorts. Jericho reverses Big Show's Vader Bomb (Tunbuckle splash), hits a Lionsault,. The guy still moves like he's twenty. (DDPYOGA). Walls of Jericho attempt. Big Show hits a SMALL PACKAGE. Y2J kicks out. WMD attempt reversed Codebreaker attempt. Both men go over the top rope time is winding down. The time runs down as the ref counts out Big Show. The time runs out as Jericho makes it back in the ring. Within a few seconds buzzer rings and the ref still counts Big Show out. Ref says that there was one second left (no there wasn't). Cole disagrees with decision.
No Way Out promo for NJ, heavily featuring my boy Daniel Bryan. YES! YES! YES!
Make a Wish promo featuring Mr. Hustle Loyalty Respect John Cena
They sorted it out and as it stands, Miz actually still has the time to beat at 4:18. Funkasaurus makes his way out. Thankfully, no Hornswoggle, but he does arrive with gorgeous Naomi and Cameron.
JTG gets jobber entrance. Match didn't start yet, but I'm willing to say that Brodus wins with big splash.
4. Brodus Clay destroys JTG.
Two minutes later and just I suspected, Brodus Clay wins with his big splash. Brodus brings in some kids to dance with him JYD style ( If you don't know who JYD is go study your tapes).
Recap of Brock and Cena's epic bout from Extreme Rules and a recap of Lesnar's beatdown of HHH. They announced that Cena's future will be addressed by Big Johnny.
