WWE Hall Of Famer Roddy Piper comes out for Piper’s Pit. Piper catches up to speed the only way Rowdy Roddy can. Jericho is the choosen one for Piper’s Pit. It's Jericho vs. Ziggler at SummerSlam. Piper is quick to mention that last time he saw him, Mickey Rourke knocked him out. Ugh, don't remind us of THAT angle, Roddy.
Jericho reminds him that he beat him and two other legends before that at WrestleMania. Cole says on his headset this Piper’s Pit is starting to suck as Piper talks about knowing Jericho’s dad and his recent face turn. It's a bit all over the place. Vickie Guerrero comes out and introduces Mr. Money in the Bank, The Superstar, Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler insults Piper and Jericho. Piper points out that Ziggler is wearing pink. Jericho says Ziggler has a nice bowl of spaghetti on his head. Piper keeps trying to chant Y2J. Miz comes out and says "Really?"
Jericho punches Miz and cleans house. All men were in their gear, so we could have a match involving one or all of them tonight.
WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz vs. Chris Jericho vs. Dolph Ziggler
This is an impromptu match booked by AJ Lee.
Great action here as you would expect from these three. We even get a tower of doom spot, which is like the third one I’ve seen in two days. Too bad the IC Title isn't on the line to raise the stakes for this random, yet entertaining three way. Jericho is about to get the win, but Guerrero puts Ziggler’s foot on the rope. Perfectly legal in triple threat rules though. Lots of false finishes. Jericho has Miz in the Walls of Jericho, but Ziggler hits the Zig Zag to secure the win.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler
Jericho did some great work here with the younger lads. Kudos to him.
