WELCOME EVERYONE TO MONDAY NIGHT RAW--LIVE FROM THE ALLSTATE ARENA IN CHICAGO, ILLINOIS!
Raw kicks off and just moments before the show goes live, WWE Champion CM Punk and Jerry “The King” Lawler engaged in a brawl backstage--provoked by Lawler. Punk took him out, so it's MICHAEL COLE SOLO. NOOO!!!!!!!
In the ring, World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus comes out to cut a promo, but is quickly interrupted by the hometown hero Punk. The crowd pops huge, and CM Punk chants break out. Punk plays to the crowd, saying that Sheamus can’t pander to the crowd someone like him because he’s not from Chicago. The Second City Saint talks about how he laid a Chicago style beatdown to Lawler. Hhe goes on about being disrespected, and being WWE Champion for 288 days. Sheamus tries to get him in the ring and the crowd boos. Punk reminds Sheamus that he is disrespecting him and second fiddle to the WWE Champion. Raw GM AJ Lee comes out and books Alberto Del RIo vs. John Cena. and a Champion vs. Champion match, CM Punk vs Sheamus tonight. Dolph Ziggler is up next.
I said excuse me! Vickie Guerrero does her heat magnet intro for the Show Off, Mr. Money in the Bank, Dolph Ziggler.
1. Dolph Ziggler (w/ Vickie Guerrero) vs. Randy Orton
Great atmosphere here from the typically hot Chicago crowd. Orton and Ziggler exchange dropkicks,
Ziggler takes it to Orton in the corner, Ziggler is risking disqualification here. Orton explodes out of the corner, takes Ziggler to the outside. Ziggler comes back and is selling like a champion. Crowd is firmly behind RKO.
