WWE Friday Night Smackdown in Manchester, NH Results (SPOILERS) for June 15, 2012:
Just a couple days before the WWE No Way Out pay-per-view (when this airs).
1. Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler def. World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus and WWE Champion CM Punk in a tag tea match. There goes our advertised main event...
Reminder: Ziggler replaces the injured/concussed Alberto Del Rio this Sunday, as he takes on Sheamus for the title. The man that's lost more singles match than won by a wide margin in 2012 is your no. one contender. #ThisIsWrestling
2. WWE Divas: Beth Phoenix def. Alicia Fox. Beth faces Layla for the Divas Championship this Sunday night at the No Way Out pay-per-view.
3. Brodus Clay and the Funkettes def. Heath Slater. First Vader, now Brodus. Poor Heath. Naomi's ass is perfect. Post-match, David Otunga attacked Brodus to set up for their YouTube preshow match on Sunday.
4. WWE GM John Laurinaitis cut a promo with Big Show about the steel cage match with John Cena at No Way Out and the firing stipulation named by Vince McMahon--who apparently has concussion like symptoms from that KO punch. Nothing special except now if Cena loses HE'S FIRED.....Because that angle will do wonders after the Nexus debacle in 2010 that saw Fired Cena missed ZERO SHOWS.
5. WWE Intercontinental Champion Christian def. Jack Swagger (w/ Vickie Guerrero) in a non-title match.
6. In a segment most likely for just the live audience, Triple H came out and Pedigreed Swagger straight to Jobber Hell.
7. Ryback killed two guys.
8. There's an idiot in our section that won't shut up. I like YES chants but this is overboard....
9.. Damien Sandow def. Tyson Kidd.
10. John Cena called out Show, got Big Johnny, and attacked him as the tapings ended.
Post-Show Dark Match: Cena def. Laurinaitis, Otunga, and Show in a handicap match. Super Cena lives and apparently, Big Johnny is healthy. Who knew?
