WWE Friday Night Smackdown Results (SPOILERS) - Aug. 21, 2012

Taped for Aug. 24. 

Commentator Josh Mathews is out selling his injuries suffered at the hands of Kane on Monday Night Raw. Teddy Long of all people is filling in.

1. Randy Orton puts over his win against Alberto Del Rio on Monday Night Raw and says he deserves a World Heavyweight Championship match with Sheamus. Sheamus comes out to agree. Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez disagree, citing his cheating at Summerslam. Smackdown GM Booker T books Mr. RKO vs. Del Rio for the no. one contendership tonight. No one cares about Del Rio here. They want Orton for sure. 

2. Ryback def. Jinder Mahal.

3. WWE Divas: Layla def. Alicia Fox in a non-title match. Layla had a friendly staredown with no. one contender Kaitlyn after the match. Executive Assistant Eve Torres congratulated both of them or was just by an authorative, jealous troll. You decide. 

Sheamus was backstage and dared Dolph Ziggler to cash in his Money in The Bank title shot tonight. 

4. Sheamus def. Dolph Ziggler (w/ Vickie Guerrero) via disqualification after getting hit with the MITB briefcase. Ziggler teased cashing in his shot, but when Sheamus recovered, he left the ring. Kind of lame. 

We got another Wade Barrett hype video. They all look the same!

5. New WWE United States Champion Antonio Cesaro (w/ Aksana) beat up Santino Marella. 

6. WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and R-Truth def. Epico and Primo Colon.
