Complete New Japan Pro Wrestling Wrestle Kingdom 12 Results – Jan. 4, 2018:

NJW Wrestle Kingdom 12 Pre-Show: Masahito Kakihara won the annual New Japan Rumble. Ring of Honor Wrestling star Cheeseburger was the final wrestler eliminated. Kakihara cut a promo afterward dedicating the match to Yoshihiro Takayama.

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Titles: The Young Bucks def. Roppongi 3K’s Sho and Yoh (c) w/ Rocky Romero to become seven-time Jr. Tag Team Champions.

Gauntlet Match for the NEVER Openweight 6-man Tag Team Titles: Chaos (Trent Beretta, Tomohiro Ishii, and Toru Yano) def. The Bullet Club (Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga, and Tanga Loa) (c), Michael Elgin and War Machine (Hanson and Raymond Rowe who are rumored to be WWE bound), Suzuki-gun (Taichi, Takashi Iizuka, and Zack Sabre Jr.) and Taguchi Japan (Juice Robinson, Ryusuke Taguchi, and Togi Makabe). Chaos would lose the titles to the Bullet Club the next night at New Year’s Dash.

Kota Ibushi def. Cody aka Cody Rhodes (with Brandi Rhodes). Maybe the best match of Cody Rhodes’ career.

IWGP Tag Team Title: Los Ingobernables de Japon (Evil and Seiya Sanada) def. Killer Elite Squad (Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Lance Archer) (c) to win the tag titles.

Hair vs. Hair Match for NEVER Openweight Title: Hirooki Goto def. Minoru Suzuki (c) to win the title. Post-match Suzuki was a man of his word and angrily shaved his own head.

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title Fatal Four Way Match: Will Ospreay def. Marty Scurll (c), KUSHIDA, and “Time Bomb” Hiromu Takahashi. Ospreay got the pin on Scurll to win the title for the second time.

IWGP Intercontinental Title: Hiroshi Tanahashi (c) def. “Switchblade” Jay White to retain the IC Title.

IWGP United States Title No Disqualification Match: Kenny Omega (c) def. Chris Jericho to retain the U.S. Title.

IWGP Heavyweight Title Match: Kazuchika Okada (c) def. Tetsuya Naito to retain the IWGP Heavyweight Title.

NJPW New Year’s Dash! 2018 Results – Jan. 5, 2018:

Manabu Nakanishi, Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Satoshi Kojima, and Yuji Nagata def. Ren Narita, Shota Umino, Tetsuhiro Yagi, and Tomoyuki Oka

Suzuki-gun (El Desperado, Taichi, Taka Michinoku, Takashi Iizuka, and Yoshinobu Kanemaru) def. Henare, Hirai Kawato, Jushin “Thunder” Liger, Tiger Mask IV, and Togi Makabe

“Switchblade” Jay White def. Katsuya Kitamura

The Bullet Club aka The Elite (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks) def. Cheeseburger and Roppongi 3K (Sho and Yoh).

The Bullet Club (Cody, Chase Owens, Leo Tonga, Marty Scurll, and Yujiro Takahashi) def. Taguchi Japan (David Finlay, Juice Robinson, Kota Ibushi, Ryusuke Taguchi, KUSHIDA,). After the match, Cody Rhodes tried to take out Ibushi with a chair, but was stopped by Ibushi’s former tag team partner Kenny Omega!

When the ring clears, Omega calls out “Switchblade” Jay White and offers him a spot in the Bullet Club. White accepts, but immediately turns on Omega and hits the Blade Runner (downward spiral). White would join the Chaos stable later that night — for now.

The Bullet Club (Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Roa) def. Chaos (Trent Beretta, Tomohiro Ishii, and  Toru Yano) (c) to regain the NEVER Openweight 6-man Tag Team Titles.

Suzuki-gun (Davey Boy Smith Jr., Lance Archer, Minoru Suzuki, and Zack Sabre Jr.) def. Hiroshi Tanahashi, Michael Elgin, and War Machine (Hanson and Ray Rowe). Post-match Suzuki-gun destroyed Tanahashi. Suzuki grabbed Tanahashi’s IC Title, pretty much telling us he’ll be challenging for the gold next.

Los Ingobernables de Japon (Bushi, EVIL, “Time Bomb” Hiromu Takahashi, Sanada, and Tetsuya Naito) def. Chaos (Hirooki Goto, Gedo, Kazuchika Okada, Will Ospreay, and Yoshi-Hashi). Sanada choked out Okada after the match.

When most of LIJ left the ring, Chris Jericho attacked Naito! Hot pull-apart brawl to end the show and setup yet another NJPW match for Jericho. As for Okada, it looks like he’ll be facing Sanada next.
