The Sports Courier’s Fred Richani discusses ESPN business reporter Darren Rovell’s report on Fox acquiring the TV rights to WWE SmackDown Live in 2019. Per TheWrap.com, SmackDown Live will return to Friday nights.

If this deal happens, it will be a game changer for WWE for three reasons — a primetime network television time slot, NFL and MLB broadcasts crosspromoting WWE, and the obvious one — huge money from Fox.

Update: The Hollywood Reporter is reporting WWE has agreed to massive five year deal with Fox for the rights to SmackDown Live, totaling over $1 billion — $205 annually.
